How to cancel Spotify Premium

Cancel from the Manage your plan page on your Spotify account. Premium stays until your next billing date.

Steps

  1. Sign in to your Spotify account page in a web browser.
  2. Go to Manage your plan.
  3. Select Cancel subscription.

Refunds, timing and things to know

  • Your Premium stays until your next billing date, then your account switches to the free plan. Your playlists and saved music stay.
  • If you cancel during a $0 free trial, your account switches to free right away, and that trial cannot be restarted.
  • Family or Duo plan members: following these steps only removes you from the plan. Ask the plan manager to cancel the plan.

If someone else bills you

  • No option to change your plan? It is tied to a partner (such as your mobile or internet provider). On Manage your plan, check Payment for the partner's contact link.

Save proof. Take a screenshot of the confirmation screen and keep the confirmation email. If you are charged again after canceling, our billing error letter can help.
