How to cancel Planet Fitness

End your membership by mail, in person at your home club, or online in the member portal. Do it at least 7 days before billing.

Steps

1. Pick one way that Planet Fitness offers: log in to the member portal on planetfitness.com, visit your home club in person, or mail a written request to end your membership to your home club.
2. Do it at least 7 days before your next monthly billing date. To avoid the annual fee, cancel at least 7 days before the annual fee date.
3. Find your billing dates by logging in to the member portal or on your membership agreement.
4. Keep proof: a screenshot, a written receipt from the club, or a copy of your letter and the mailing date.

Refunds, timing and things to know

• If your membership has a minimum term and you end it early, Planet Fitness says a $58 buyout fee is required.
• Some policies vary by location because of state and local rules. If something does not match, contact your home club.
