How to cancel Apple subscriptions

Any subscription billed by Apple, including apps you bought in the App Store, is canceled in Settings on your iPhone or iPad.

Steps

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings and tap your name.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap the subscription you want to stop.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription. You may need to scroll down. If there is no Cancel button, or you see an expiration message in red, it is already canceled.

Refunds, timing and things to know

  • Free trial: Apple says to cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends if you do not want it to renew.
  • On a Mac: open the App Store, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, click your name again, then Subscriptions, choose the subscription and click Cancel Subscription.
  • On Windows: open the Apple Music or Apple TV app, click your name, choose View My Account, then next to Subscriptions click Manage, then Edit, then Cancel Subscription.
  • On Android, or any web browser: go to account.apple.com and follow the steps.

If someone else bills you

  • Can't find it? Search your email for "receipt from Apple" or "invoice from Apple" to see which Apple Account was used. If a family member's account is on the receipt, they must cancel it.
  • No Apple receipt at all? Another company probably bills you. Check your bank or card statement and contact that company.

Save proof. Take a screenshot of the confirmation screen and keep the confirmation email. If you are charged again after canceling, our billing error letter can help.
