How to cancel Hulu

Last checked Oct 2026Source: the company's own help page (linked below)

Cancel from your Account page in a web browser. Access continues to the end of the billing cycle.

Menu pathAccount page (web browser) > Your Subscription > Cancel > Continue to Cancel > Cancel Subscription

Steps

  1. Open your Hulu Account page in a computer or mobile web browser.
  2. Select Cancel under Your Subscription.
  3. If Hulu offers a pause, select Continue to Cancel.
  4. Select Cancel Subscription.
  5. Check that your Account page says "Your subscription will be canceled" and keep the confirmation email.

Refunds, timing and things to know

  • You keep access until the end of your current billing cycle and are not charged after that.
  • Free trial: if you cancel during the trial you keep access and are not charged when it ends. Exception: Hulu + Live TV free trials end right away when you cancel.
  • Hulu-billed subscribers may be able to pause for up to 12 weeks instead of canceling.
  • Canceling is not the same as deleting your account. Cancel first, or you may keep being charged.

If someone else bills you

  • If a third party bills you (for example Amazon, Apple or a TV provider), the steps are different. Your Hulu Account page shows who bills you under Payment Information.
  • Bundles with Disney+ or HBO Max have extra rules; see Hulu's page for details.

Save proof. Take a screenshot of the confirmation screen and keep the confirmation email. If you are charged again after canceling, our billing error letter can help.
