How to cancel YouTube Premium
Cancel under Paid memberships in YouTube. Benefits continue until the end of the billing period.
Menu pathYouTube > profile picture > Paid memberships > [membership] > Continue to cancel > Yes, cancel
Steps
- In YouTube, tap your profile picture, then Paid memberships.
- Tap the membership you want to cancel.
- Tap Continue to cancel.
- Pick a reason and tap Next.
- Tap Yes, cancel.
Refunds, timing and things to know
- You will not be charged again unless you sign up again. Your paid benefits continue until the end of the billing period.
- You can check the Status field at youtube.com/paid_memberships to confirm it is canceled.
- This also works for YouTube Music Premium.
If someone else bills you
- If you joined from the YouTube iPhone app, Apple bills you: cancel in your Apple subscriptions.
- If Google Play bills you, cancel in your Google Play subscriptions.
Save proof. Take a screenshot of the confirmation screen and keep the confirmation email. If you are charged again after canceling, our billing error letter can help.
